The first thing we were impressed with was the design and this bad boy is built to last. The footbed is also very comfortable and the adjustable straps give you a comfortable fit.
The support from the midsole is average and you can feel the rocks you step on. (This is something that barefoot enthusiasts won’t mind, though.) That being said, the arch support is quite good, which can come in handy on a long day of non-stop hiking.
The outsole is a complete beast and crushes the rocks that come towards it. It offers solid traction (on almost all terrains) but really shines on a muddy trail.
You can wear socks if you want to avoid blisters, but the straps are well padded.
The aggressive stud design of the outsole limits this when hiking and we do not recommend it for city walks.
WHAT WE LIKED
- Great Traction
- Ample Cushioning
WHAT WE DISLIKED
- Average Support
- Not recommended for city walking
If you are a seasoned hiker looking for a lightweight, breathable option, Fila’s transition is your best buy.
